The Ozark Cave Diving Alliance

Nesbitt 2005

In the spring of 2005 the OCDA was requested to collect live samples from the 3rd sump area of Nesbitt spring. 2 divers equipped with sidemount 80's were to gather samples after getting all the gear back into the cave system. After the samples were tested they were to be transported back into the system to be released. This was a follow-up visit since the 2004 survey didn't locate any blind cave life out to the 3rd sump. Samples were obtained and delivered to Fish and Wildlife for DNA testing and then returned to the 3rd sump area. Our thanks to the Nesbitts for permission to conduct the survey of the spring on their property.
